Welcome. I am going to try to make it for Rolling Thunder in DC, but that is a long ride on the bike for someone that is just starting out. Not sure if I am ready for a Texas to DC trip right now unless I have a group I am going with.
Welcome Madtanker maybe see you on the road.
Hi There!
Welcome.
Welcome aboard! I have done the Ride to the Wall twice from Hannibal, Mo with my dad and some friends. Awesome ride and great people along the way. I'm alittle closer now, but I will still be riding up there.
There seems to be two different runs from the west coast to the east coast (1 towards the south and 1 towards the center of the country). Both times I went, I joined up with the group in St Louis, Mo and rode the rest of the way with them. I believe the southern route goes thru San Antonio. I will try and find the website we used and keep the group informed if I hear anything. It is a great ride. Hanging with the fellow vets and supporters, every service member should do it atleast once.
The web site is: www.rftw.org. I haven't look at it yet, but last teay it was awesome. They have some video's on the site. I watched them last year and it brings a tear to ya eye and gives ya the chills. All in a good way. Anyhow, hope this will help ya out. And if ya get a chance, ya need to do it. It will be a life changing event for ya. To hang with fellow vets of different generations is just so neat to do. Ya need to do it at least once.
