It is Veteran's Day. It is approximately 8:35pm (where I am). At the same time that I am saddened by the lack of traffic on this site on this particular day, I am gladdened to know that each and every one of us is a veteran. Some still serving, some no longer, some retired. Every member here has a common experience that bonds us in a way that words defy. There is pride in knowing the dedication required to do the job. There is bravery for understanding the fear that must be overcome. There is strength in having experienced something that many will never understand.
Collectively, we have carried a torch. We have kept the flame. The task is not completed. It will never be completed. Each generation offers forth its own sons and daughters for the arduous task. We are but a few in the long procession.
To each of you I offer a heart felt THANK YOU!
Ride safe!
