Quad Cities Exchange Clubs of Copperas Cove, Temple, Gatesville and Killeen and Bikers Against Child Abuse joined together to raise funds to combat Child Abuse

In the State of Texas the Central Texas area ranks No 1 in reported Child Abuse cases. Death from child abuse also ranks near the top in Texas.

In order to maximize our fund raising ability we joined together for this effort under RIDEFORACHILD.ORG. All funds raised will stay in Central Texas to help fund those efforts through organizations like AWARE CENTRAL TEXAS, CHILDREN’S ADVOCACY CENTER of CENTRAL TEXAS, CORYELL CASA (COURT APPOINTED SPECIAL ADVOCATES) and others. We currently fund those efforts, but not as much as is needed.

Thanks to you and our generous sponsors we hope to attract 750-1000 riders for our one day event to be held March 26, 2011.

Our rally will take you from, registration and breakfast available, the historic Ogletree Gap park just off US 190 west of Copperas Cove through beautiful winding hill country roads to Gatesville for the first stop of our journey hosted by the Exchange Club for coffee and cookies and necessary break. Back to the beautiful back roads of Central Texas lined with wild flowers in bloom and Great American family owned farms and ranches dating back to when Texans were still fighting at the Alamo and Indians roamed in search of the plentiful game in this area. After crossing scenic Lake Belton we take you to Temple for your second pit stop hosted by our friends at HornyToad Harley Davidson at their retail center between Belton and Temple for snacks and drinks and FUN. Continuing on through Belton its back to the Farm To Market Rd 439 to Sandy’s Homeplace Historic Nightclub,( host to bands like MATCHBOX 20, RAT RANCH,Vellajo,David Lee Roth.) just to mention a few, for great BBQ lunch, Music , Raffles, Silent Auction, 50/50 drawings.
