I have been learning lately that I cannot fit everything I need for my job at work in my cargo pockets, and I don't have saddle bags and did not want to drop 100 bucks on a backpack made for motorcycle riders.
I went to walmart and stumbled upon a pack made by Coleman that had a 2 liter hydration system with it which i took out since I don't need it. The pack (shown below) is orange like my vest, so no need to wear an issued ruck and throw a reflective vest over it. I picked the bag up at walmart for 20 bucks and used two strips of reflective material from some old range safety kevlar bands I had that we used to wear around our helmets when we worked the ranges.
All in all, it works pretty good and I can put all kinds of stuff in there that I have been trying to shove in one of the many pockets on our uniform.
