    Sgt. Jeffrey Lee Drake

Sgt. Jeffrey Lee Drake, an Army veteran just back from Iraq, was buried Tuesday after he was killed in a motorcycle collision just two days after his return to the U.S. He was 25.

The accident happened Friday, while Drake was out for a ride on his motorcycle. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, he was traveling eastbound on Oklahoma 28 when he crossed the center line and hit an oncoming Delaware County sheriff's deputy's patrol car head-on. The deputy was not injured.

Where I am stationed we are required to take a safety course within X number of days of redeploying. Of course, that is just a check the block thing and the commands really don't care about it much or give it any thought until someone gets killed.

I am sorry to hear about a brother in arms passing like this, let alone a fellow scooter rider. Prayers and condolences to the Soldier and his family. Rest In Peace my friend.
